The School of Production Engineering and Management, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Unit of the Technical University of Crete, has established a quality assurance policy that complies with the University’s policy.
The mission of the School is to promote science and technology in the areas of production systems, operations research, and the management of complex techno-economic systems. The School’s curriculum and research are focused on providing its graduates with the skills and qualifications required to meet the existing challenges and future trends in the design and efficient operation of production and management systems.
To this end, the School adopts an interdisciplinary approach that combines science, engineering, and management, while closely following the state-of-the-art developments in research and technology, as well as the advances in educational practices, and the trends in the job market.

The quality assurance procedures of the School are periodically monitored by the Quality Assurance Unity of TUC in collaboration with the School’s Internal Evaluation Team.
The undergraduate study program of the School of Production Engineering and Management was accredited in 2023 and was deemed fully compliant according to criteria defined by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE). ΗΑΗΕ issued a Certificate of compliance with the principles of the Undergraduate Programme Quality Standard and the Quality Assurance Principles of the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015) for Study level 7 of the National and European Qualifications Framework.
