Born in 1982 in Thessaloniki, where he received his Chemical Engineering Diploma and PhD from the Department of Chemical Engineering/AUTH in 2005 and 2011, respectively. He also holds an MSc Diploma from the Department of Mathematics/AUTH (2013). Prior to his current appointment, he held research positions as a Collaborating Researcher at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas/CERTH (2006-2013, 2016-2019), Department of Chemical Engineering/AUTH (2014-2016) and Texas A&M University at Qatar, Chemical Engineering Department (Sep.-Nov. 2014). Moreover, he was an Adjunct Faculty (407/80) at the University of Western Macedonia (Feb. - Jun. 2019). His research focuses on process modeling, simulation, and applied control in energy, environmental, and industrial processes. Since 2005, he has authored numerous articles in leading peer-reviewed journals and presented his work at National and International scientific conferences. He participates in European and National research projects and serves as a reviewer for scientific journals and competitive research funding programs.
