Additive Manufacturing, Materials Science and Technology
Marios Kazasidis is Assistant Professor of Additive Manufacturing at the Technical University of Crete. He completed his PhD in the field of Science and Technology of Welding (School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, 2018). He conducted post doctoral research in Ireland at Trinity College Dublin (2018-2021) and University College Dublin (2022) on Additive Manufacturing. Moreover, he worked as a researcher in the private sector on the development of novel materials (2022-2024). He has also been Visiting Researcher at the research centers Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (Ciemat, Spain) και Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS, France) on the thermal treatment of materials with the use of concentrated solar energy. He is author of 17 journal publications and 7 conference proceedings papers. He is also reviewer in several journals (Advances in Mechanical Engineering, International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, The Welding Journal Research Supplement etc.)
