Physics
Panagiotis Petrakis was born in Chania in 1958. He obtained his BSc degree in Physics in 1982 from the University of East Anglia of UK and his MSc degree in 1986 from the University of KENT of UK. Now, he is working for his doctoral thesis on "Development of Diagnostic Detection System Qualitative Characteristics in Agricultural Products of Plant Production Based on opto-electronic and spectroscopic methods." He joined the Technical University of Crete in 1990 as a Laboratory Teaching Personnel (courses: Physics I and Physics II). In addition, from 1988 up to 2012 he had worked as temporary teaching personnel at the Technological Educational Institute of Crete (course: Lasers and Optoelectronics). From time to time he participates in research programs of the “Laboratory of Structure of Matter and Laser Physics”. In various academic years he was a member of the University Senate and a member of the General Assembly of the Science's Department.
